CBL DATA RECOVERY TECHNOLOGIES OFFERS QUICK FIX FOR VBS.LOVELETTER BUG

TORONTO, CANADA--CBL Data Recovery Technologies Inc. of Toronto, a leading provider of data recovery services, offers a quick fix at its web site at www.cbltech.com for the VBS.LoveLetter bug.

"This fix will delete the virus from your e-mail server," says CBL's president Bill Margeson.

Users should follow these procedures:

1. Save the downloaded file to c:\temp or any other temporary directory on your disk.
2. Run the script.
3. Switch off the computer and reboot.
4. Run the script again
5. Go to the system directory for Windows95 and Windows98: go to: c:\windows\system\ for WindowsNT: go to: c:\winnt\system32\
6. Verify and delete the following files if they still exist in your system directory:
   • love-letter-for-you.txt
   • love-letter-for-you.txt.vbs
   • mskernel32.vbs
7. Delete all files with *.vsb extention from your drive. Check all other drives and partitions on your computer.
